Engineering Automation Lead

Key responsibilities

• Map all manual and repetitive processes (deploy, backups, provisioning, testing) and build a prioritized automation backlog.

• Design and implement robust CI/CD pipelines with security scanning, automated testing, and smart rollback.

• Develop automations using generative AI (GitHub Copilot, custom LLM agents) for code review, auto-documentation, and test generation.

• Automate provisioning of dev, staging, and production environments with Infrastructure as Code.

• Implement self-healing systems and auto-remediation for common incidents using AI/ML.

• Measure and report impact of each automation (time saved, errors reduced, team velocity).

What we're looking for

• 4+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering focused on automation.

• Hands-on experience integrating AI tools into engineering workflows (Copilot, LLM agents, AI-powered testing).

• Owner mindset: identifies opportunities and executes without waiting for assignment.

• Ability to adapt to new tech stacks in days, not weeks.

• Experience with Python, Bash, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and at least one cloud provider.

• Metrics-oriented: every automation must have measurable, demonstrable impact.
